Knowing how to cash in Maya before you reach a cashier saves you from a stuck payment. Maya (the wallet formerly called PayMaya) lists five routes, and each one has its own screen, its own cap and its own fee line. This page follows Maya’s cash-in page on maya.ph and its Help Center articles, and it sits inside the wider PayMaya casino wallet reference on this site.
How to cash in Maya in five steps
The first three steps are the same whichever route you pick; the last two change by route.
- Log in to the Maya app and tap Cash in.
- Choose your route: card, over-the-counter partner, linked bank, Maya Savings or kiosk.
- Enter the amount and read the fee line Maya shows.
- Confirm: an OTP for card and bank, a cash-in code at the counter, or cash into the kiosk.
- Wait for Maya to confirm that the wallet was credited before you leave the counter or the screen.
Maya cash-in routes compared
Maya’s Help Center article on adding money names five routes. The table sets out what each one asks of you.
| Route | What you do | Cap Maya prints |
|---|---|---|
| Debit, credit or prepaid card | Choose a saved card or add a new one, enter the OTP sent by your bank | Up to ₱10,000 at a time, up to 10 a day; the Account Limits screen shows the count applied to you |
| Over-the-counter partner | Pick a convenience store, mall, supermarket or remittance center, get a cash-in code, pay at the counter | ₱50K per transaction on the limits page for non-bank and counter partners |
| Linked bank account | Tap Bank account, link or choose a bank, log in, enter the OTP | ₱20,000 per transaction |
| Maya Savings | Tap Maya Savings, enter the amount, tap Transfer, then View receipt | No per-transfer cap printed; the monthly wallet limit applies |
| Self-service kiosk | Pick TouchPay, Pay&Go or eTap, get a 7-digit cash-in code, insert cash | Per kiosk and wallet limits |
Cash-in through a linked bank requires an upgraded account, so finish the steps in the Maya account verification steps first if you are still on Basic. Maya also lists InstaPay and PESONet partner banks under “From Other Banks” on its cash-in page.
PayMaya cash in: the free ₱8,000 and the fee
Maya says cash-in at select over-the-counter partners is free up to ₱8,000 per month. Beyond that, Maya’s fee article says some counters (convenience stores, malls, supermarkets and payment centers) charge a convenience fee of 2-3% of the amount.
Maya’s own worked example shows how the rebate behaves. If your cash-ins for the month reach ₱9,000, you get a 2% rebate voucher on the first ₱8,000, worth ₱160, and you pay the 2-3% fee, or ₱20-₱30, on the remaining ₱1,000. Unclaimed vouchers sit under Vouchers in the app, where you tap Claim. For a card, Maya tells you to check the fee with your card’s issuer.
Cash-in amounts by account level
The ceiling on any one route sits inside your wallet’s monthly limit. Maya’s limits page gives the wallet balance monthly limit as ₱50K for Basic, ₱100K for Upgraded, ₱500K for Super Users and ₱5M for Ultimate Users. It also shows that room used by one route is room taken from the others: a Basic user who moved ₱10K in from a bank can receive ₱40K more that month. Read your own daily and monthly tabs under Profile, then Account Limits, since Maya says limits can change.
Auto Cash In from Maya Savings
Auto Cash In tops the wallet up when the balance drops. Maya’s cash-in page lists the steps, and for now Maya Savings is the only fund source.
- On the Wallet dashboard, tap Options under your balance.
- Tap Auto cash in.
- Set the Wallet amount that triggers it.
- Choose Maya Savings as the fund source.
- Set the amount to move and tap Save.
If a Maya cash-in is delayed or fails
Maya’s delayed cash-in article splits the fix by route.
A bank cash-in has not arrived
Check your bank’s app or social page for an advisory. If the bank had an interruption, Maya says the money should reach you 2-3 banking days after it is resolved; otherwise contact the bank.
A card cash-in was charged but not credited
Maya says your bank should process the refund in 2-3 business days. If it does not return, open Maya Support Chat from the Help Center icon at the top right of the app.
A counter or kiosk cash-in is missing
Take your receipt back to the branch, or call the kiosk’s own support line printed on the receipt.
If a cash-in fails outright, Maya’s checklist is simple: enough funds in the source account, an active account that allows online transactions, the bank’s systems running, and a stable connection on your phone. If the OTP never reaches you, the Maya change number steps cover what to do when the number on file is wrong. For what happens once money is in the wallet, read how Maya payment works.
Maya at a casino cashier: what to check first
