This page walks through a Maya payment at an online store, one screen at a time, using Maya’s own page on paying with Maya online. Maya is the wallet that used to be called PayMaya, and the DAILYJILI lobby’s banner still uses the older name. For the cashier side of the same wallet, start with the PayMaya casino cashier overview. Everything below is Maya’s wording of its own flow, so the screens on your phone can differ in small ways.
Maya payment at an online checkout, in seven steps
For a single purchase, Maya lists these steps:
- Log in to your Maya Wallet and make sure you have enough balance, or cash in if needed.
- Visit the website or app where you want to pay.
- On the checkout page, choose Maya as the payment method.
- Enter your Maya-registered number and password to log in.
- Enter the OTP sent to your Maya-registered number and press proceed.
- Confirm the payment.
- Review the details in the Payment Confirmation page or in the Transaction History of the Maya app.
If a step does not load, the cause is often on the phone or the line, which when Maya is down sorts out cause by cause.
Maya checkout screens, one by one
The table pairs each screen with what it wants from you. The right-hand column is Maya’s text.
| Screen | What you provide | What Maya says |
|---|---|---|
| Payment method list | A tap on Maya | Choose Maya as your payment method |
| Maya log-in | Registered number and password | Enter your Maya-registered number and password |
| OTP | The code texted to that number | Enter the OTP and press proceed |
| Confirmation | A final yes | Confirm payment |
| Record | Nothing | Payment Confirmation page or Transaction History |
The OTP goes to the number registered on Maya, so a changed SIM matters here. If the line is new, update the registered number in Maya before you pay.
Maya merchant payments: single or recurring
A Maya merchant can take one-time payments or a linked wallet for repeat charges. Maya describes the two like this.
| Type | How it works at checkout | After linking |
|---|---|---|
| Single purchase | The seven steps above | Nothing stays linked |
| Recurring, on demand | Same login and OTP, then a notice of successful account linking | Select Maya again at the next checkout |
| Recurring, auto-renewing | Same login and OTP, then the linking notice | Your Maya account is charged automatically on the merchant’s billing schedule |
Link only what you are willing to see charged again. The auto-renewing row is the one that keeps charging in later periods.
Paying by card details instead of the wallet login
Maya has a second route for stores that only list card payments. It uses your virtual or physical Maya Wallet Card, per Maya’s Help Center article from 5 January 2026:
- At the store, select Debit Card (Visa/Mastercard); the Maya Wallet Card sits in that category.
- If the store lists only Credit Card or PayPal, you may still use the card where Visa or Mastercard is accepted.
- Get the card details from the Maya app or the physical card: name, number, expiry and security code.
- Confirm the payment and look for the SMS, the balance deduction and the update in the Transactions list.
When a Maya payment goes wrong
A payment failed, was charged twice or came out at the wrong amount
Maya says to contact the merchant first and confirm what it recorded. The merchant has 15 days to settle the transaction with Maya, and if it does not, the amount is credited back to your account. Past 15 days without the credit, you can request a reversal. A merchant can also request a refund on your behalf.
The payment seems stuck or missing from history
Transactions should appear in the in-app history in real time. If a successful one does not, Maya asks you to wait 2 banking days for manual reconciliation. Then raise it through Help Center and Chat with us in the Maya app.
The same 15-day rule appears on Maya’s page for scanning codes in shops, covered in Maya QR code payments in shops.
Maya payment and the DAILYJILI cashier
DAILYJILI’s lobby banner named PayMaya as a deposit method when it was read on 27 September 2026. The method list, amounts and processing notes are read on the Deposit and Withdrawal screens after you log in, so the flow above is Maya’s own and not a description of that cashier. In August 2025 the BSP told supervised institutions, in memorandum M-2025-029, to suspend in-app gambling access from mobile payment apps and websites, which includes anything that redirects an account holder to a gambling site. Maya’s own checkout rules and the cashier’s screens decide what happens in your case; the Maya casino payment details page keeps the reference.
