Change your Maya mobile number in the app
This is the route for anyone who still receives texts on the current number. Maya lists these steps for it:

- If asked, enter the OTP sent to your new mobile number.

Conditions Maya sets before it processes a change
Maya’s article says it can only process a request when every one of these holds:
- The new mobile number is not yet registered to another Maya account.
- You have not changed your registered number in the last 30 days.
- You upload a valid, government-issued, non-expired ID.
- The name on the ID matches the registered name on the account.
- If you are a minor, you hold a parental consent letter or your guardian’s valid ID.

You changed the number in the app and still cannot log in

The OTP for the new number does not arrive
Request a new code after at least 30 seconds, check the signal and your telco’s service advisories, and make sure the SMS inbox is not full.
