If you want a wallet that is ready for bigger cash-ins, you need to know how to verify Maya account details before a cashier asks for them. Maya (called PayMaya before its rename) handles this through its Upgrade Your Account flow in the app, and the wallet side of paying a cashier is laid out in the Maya casino cashier reference. Everything below is taken from Maya’s own upgrade page on maya.ph and its Help Center articles, so re-read them there if a screen in your app looks different.

How to verify Maya account in seven steps

Maya’s upgrade page sets out the order. Work through it on your phone, with your ID beside you.

  1. Log in to the Maya app, tap Profile, then choose Upgrade Your Account.
  2. Enter your full name and date of birth, matching your National ID.
  3. Record and submit a video selfie, following the on-screen gestures and keeping your face fully inside the frame.
  4. If face verification fails, enter your National ID number or submit another Primary ID; Maya then asks for a second video selfie.
  5. Enter your work details, place of birth and address where the form asks.
  6. Review the application.
  7. Tap submit.

Maya valid ID: what the upgrade page lists

The ID you pick decides whether the application passes, so check the list before you start. Maya groups the accepted documents by who is applying.

ApplicantWhat Maya lists
Filipino, 18 and above1 Primary ID (8 kinds): Philippine National Identity Card, ePhilID, SSS ID (digitized with photo), PRC ID, Postal ID (issued 2015 onwards), Passport, Driver’s License, UMID. Or 2 Secondary IDs: PhilHealth ID and TIN ID
Filipino minor, 7 to 17A valid ID (Passport, Driver’s License, Postal ID, Philippine National Identity Card or School ID), the parent or guardian’s valid ID, a signed Parental Consent form, a PSA or NSO birth certificate, and proof of legal guardianship if it applies
Foreign nationalPassport

Maya’s separate requirements article adds details for minors. A Driver’s License counts only from age 16, and a School ID must be issued within the current school year and signed by the principal or head. Take the exact wording from the upgrade page and that article in the Maya Help Center.

Maya upgrade: what changes at each account level

An upgrade raises the monthly wallet balance limit. Maya’s account-limits page puts the four levels side by side.

Account levelWallet balance monthly limit
Basic₱50K
Upgraded₱100K
Super Users₱500K
Ultimate Users₱5M

Maya’s upgrade page also talks about spending up to ₱500,000 a month, which is the Super Users row of this table, so use the limits table for your own level. Open Profile, then Account Limits, and read the daily and monthly tabs for the figures that apply to you. Maya adds that limits are subject to change. The full set of caps lives on Maya’s transfer limit table on this site, which tracks the same maya.ph page.

Check your status and the 24-hour SMS

After you submit, tap CHECK STATUS in Profile to follow the application. Once Maya approves it, an SMS confirmation arrives within 24 hours, and an Upgraded Account check mark appears at the top of your Profile. Maya prints no other review time, so if the check mark has not appeared a day after the SMS should have come, open the Maya Support Chat from the Help Center icon at the top right of the app.

If the upgrade is on hold or declined

Maya’s help article on held or declined applications lists seven reasons.

Problem

Your ID photo is unclear, an ID corner is cut off, or the details do not match the form

Fix

Re-submit the application. Make the ID photo sharp and readable, show all four corners, and copy the details exactly as printed.

Problem

Your video selfie is dark or unclear

Fix

Record it again in good light, with nothing covering your face and your head inside the capture frame.

Problem

The ID is expired, is a copy, has no signature, or there is another Maya account under your name

Fix

Use a current original government ID, make sure it is signed, and ask the Maya Support Chat about the other account.

What Maya never asks for

Maya says it never asks for your password, your 16-digit card number or your OTP, and that it never charges to upgrade an account. Treat any message that asks for those as someone else’s. If a registered number has changed, the number steps are on the Maya change number page before you start an upgrade.

Why verify before you use Maya at a casino cashier

The lobby’s own banner on 27 September 2026 named PayMaya as a deposit wallet, and the amounts, limits and processing on the casino side are shown on the deposit and withdrawal screens after login. An upgraded Maya account gives you more room on the wallet side, so a short checklist saves a refused payment.

  1. Finish the upgrade above and wait for the 24-hour SMS.
  2. Read your daily and monthly figures under Profile, then Account Limits.
  3. Add funds by one of the ways to cash in to Maya.
  4. Read the Maya payment method page for the wallet’s own entry in this site’s reference.
